1. Information We Collect
When you use PodBanter, we collect information necessary to provide and continually refine our dual-host audio generation platform:
- Account Information: Your email address, encrypted password credentials, and subscription status.
- Source Content: Text documents, research PDFs, reading excerpts, and URLs that you submit for script generation.
- Voice Queries ("Join the Show"): When you tap to speak during episode playback, short audio clips (typically under 15 seconds) are recorded through your browser and sent for real-time speech-to-text transcription.
- Usage & Playback Telemetry: Anonymized timestamps, playback duration, and error logs used exclusively to optimize audio streaming latency and server capacity.
2. How We Use and Retain Uploaded Documents
Your uploaded materials are processed for the exclusive purpose of extracting key arguments and writing conversational podcast dialogue according to your chosen vibe and co-host preferences.
We do not use your proprietary or private documents to train public foundation models. Once an episode has completed audio synthesis, raw document text is retained in an encrypted state strictly to allow you to re-listen, download transcripts, or regenerate dialogue turns, unless you delete the episode from your dashboard.
3. Interactive Voice Privacy
PodBanter does not perform biometric voiceprint identification, emotion profiling, or behavioral tracking on user voice recordings. Your audio questions are transcribed in real time, passed into the conversational context of the active episode, and immediately discarded from active memory after the host response is delivered.
4. Payment & Billing Information
PodBanter does not collect or store full credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank credentials on our servers. All transaction data is processed securely through industry-standard Level 1 PCI-DSS certified payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal). We only store payment status, billing renewal dates, and obfuscated card brand/last four digits for your receipt generation.
5. Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on your location, you have the following enforceable rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access and export your generated transcripts and audio feeds.
- Right to rectify inaccurate account information.
- Right to request immediate erasure of your account, source documents, and audio history.
- Right to opt out of non-essential analytics tracking.
